Which types of cover can be combined?

  • You can usually combine different types of insurance cover, depending on the policy. The most common combinations are:

    • Life + TPD (Total & Permanent Disability): Pays a lump sum if you can’t work again
    • Life + Trauma (critical illness): Pays if you’re diagnosed with a serious illness and can help cover medical costs
    • TPD + Trauma: Can be linked if your life cover is separate

Income protection is different. It is not usually bundled the same way, but you might get a small discount if you have multiple policies.
