Does your income protection cover include emergency services personnel? I am a correctional officer. If so is there a loading?

Hi. Thank you for submitting this question.

Yes, select emergency personal may be able to obtain income protection cover. Your occupation will generally be classified as a Special Risk occupation, specially customized for individuals in hazardous occupations. As you would know select occupations pose a higher risk of injury and illness therefore are priced accordingly.

In relation to Correctional officers, the insurer’s we currently use may consider offering cover if your role is Administration / Managerial only. However Guards or Wardens are generally harder to source cover for, therefore in order for us to assist you with your personal occupation, please submit your information here. Alternatively you can call us on 1300 135 205 and a specialist will guide you through the process.

I Hope you found this information helpful.

      Sincerely,

      Russell Cain

      Hi Rooster,

Thanks so much for your comment.

The Ezicover Accident Income does exclude participation in or training for speed contests and professional sports. However, that’s not to say Zurich won’t cover you for dirt bike riding.
In order for us to give you the best possible advice, one of our experienced consultants would need to ask you a few questions regarding this sport. Please fill in the quote form above and one will give you a call a.s.a.p.

If you don’t feel ready to speak to a professional, I suggest giving our quote index a try and compare different insurers at your convenience.

We look forward to chatting with you.

      Kind regards
      Russell Cain
