What is AIA Vitality?
AIA Vitality is a scientifically-backed health and wellbeing program that rewards you for getting to know your health and taking steps to improve it.
As a new member, you start your journey to better health at Bronze Status, working your way up to Silver, Gold and Platinum by completing points-earning activities. The more points you earn, the higher your AIA Vitality Status and the greater the rewards like e-Gift cards from popular retailers.
AIA Hospital and Extras cover
AIA offers a variety of Hospital and Extras cover options, so you’ll be able to find a policy that suits your requirements. However, it’s important to note that you won’t be able to buy AIA Extras cover separately. Your Extras cover needs to be combined with an AIA Hospital Insurance policy.
Hospital insurance
- Basic Hospital Accident: Ideal for those who are looking for the most basic level of cover. This policy offers you Private Hospital cover for accidents only, and you’ll have a choice between Lite and Standard Extras.
- Basic Plus Hospital Starter: Choose this policy to get cover for accidents and selected treatments at a Private Hospital. Extras cover is limited to Lite and Standard Extras policies.
- Bronze Hospital Essential: This is a slightly higher level of cover, offering affordable private hospital cover for accidents as well as cover at a Private Hospital for several common procedures such as gastrointestinal endoscopy, tonsil removal etc. You’ll also have a choice between Lite and Standard Extras cover.
- Bronze Plus Hospital Everyday: This type of policy allows you to get cover for a broader range of common procedures at a Private Hospital as well as private hospital cover for accidents. Note that only Lite and Standard Extras are available.
- Silver Hospital Classic: This option offers a high level of hospital cover for accidents and more cover for a range of common procedures and some specialised services. Choose between Lite, Standard, Lifestyle or Enhanced Extras.
- Silver Plus Hospital Advantage: Choose this policy to get cover for a range of common procedures as well as a high level of hospital cover for accidents. You’ll also be covered for a broader range of specialised services. Opt for Lite, Standard, Lifestyle or Enhanced Extras.
- Gold Hospital Ultimate: For growing families, this top insurance policy from AIA provides comprehensive cover as well as pregnancy cover. Select Lite, Standard, Lifestyle or Enhanced Extras.
Extras policies
- Lite Extras: An affordable AIA health insurance Extras option with low annual limits. This includes cover for some of the most common extras such as Dental, Optical and Physiotherapy.
- Standard Extras: This is a slightly more extensive option that still keeps annual limits low to keep it affordable. Extras cover on this plan includes acupuncture, chiropractic, dental, optical and physiotherapy.
- Lifestyle Extras: Offers a broader range of extras cover options including Podiatry and Psychology, MPAs, Hearing Aids and other Wellness Benefits.
- Enhanced Extras: This is the top level of Extras cover. It provides you with access to cover for a wide variety of extras such as orthodontics, speech therapy, audiology, eye therapy and occupational therapy.
