TAL claims Life Company of the Year Award

TAL has been named Life Company of the Year for 2011 at the annual Plan For Life/ Association of Financial Advisors awards.

Joint winner of the 2010 AFA Company of the Year Award, TAL were awarded the 2011 Overall Platinum Award ahead of fellow finalists AXA and CommInsure. TAL also took out the Term Life/ TPD (Total or Permanent Disability) Award, with AXA picking up the Trauma/Critical Illness Award and CommInsure claiming the Income Protection Insurance Award.

Other winners included Zurich, who received the Service Quality Award, while BT Financial Group and Macquarie shared the Risk Product Innovation Award.

One of the most regarded accolades in the Australian life insurance industry, the winner of The Life Company of the Year Award is chosen according to the aggregated yearly results of the quarterly issued Plan For Life Risk Insurance Benchmarking Reports.

Financial advisors contribute significantly to the Reports, with more than 400 advisors having completed over 1000 individual surveys reviewing service quality in the areas of underwriting, claims, quotation systems and business support to advisors.
